Okay, so 200 posts isn't exactly a huge milestone. Nevertheless - it's time to celebrate.
First things first, here's my review for
LittleBigPlanet. This game rocks, and I'm glad I can finally start building my very own levels. Oh and if I have time, I'd very much like to feature LBP levels in the future.
Secondly, I also reviewed
Fable II. If you loved the first Fable, then you'll love the second. More or less, it's a beefed up version of the original.
So, it's the 200th post. What should I write about to commemorate this occasion? Well since this is MY blog about ME, (and videogames) how about a big ol' long boring post about my life. Wouldn't that be fun? Of course.
In the Statesman newspaper, you'll see a mugshot of me next to all of my reviews. And by that mugshot, you'll see the phrase "Gaming 101."
Fun fact, that phrase started with my first article entitled "Video Games 101." I never intended to use the phrase, but it stuck for some reason. Despite the importance and influence of that first article, it was not well received - hated actually.
In the article I made a rather ambitious claim. I said, "the majority of games played are produced by Japanese developers." As it turns out, that statement can neither conclusively be proven true or false. The data doesn't exist.
Long story short, the Statesman printed a rather angry letter to the editor. And since then I've learned to never upset a nerd, or else feel their wrath.
That's a pretty impressive track record, don't you think? On day one I was already making people angry. But as long as my writing is being read and noticed, then there's no such thing as bad publicity.
On that note, thank you sincerely for taking the time to read this blog. Let's hope the next 200 posts will be filled with funny and worthwhile content. *fingers crossed*
